In an attempt to explore the concept of stranger, I have externalised the internal and often invisible aspects of an individual. My ceramic heads comments on the distinct masks we all wear over a face, that is, at its core, built from the everyday and unique experiences and motivations that tie us all together in the collective consciousness.
The heads are built from one mould, much like the creator casts all humans from the same mould. Yet, each face is different in its portrayal of the individual experiences that shape the lives we lead and the people we become.
These ceramic pieces aim to capture human at large, yet each as an individual.
